About PRSSC

The Sub-Committee advises the Research Committee on the strategic development and the general oversight of quality assurance and enhancement of the University’s postgraduate research award portfolio.
 

PRSSC business

The Sub-Committee considers reports and advises Research Committee on a range of topics, including:
 

  • innovation and good practice in research studies
  • the development and review of academic policies governing the admission and assessment of research students and the approval and monitoring of research degrees
  • the consideration of data relating to the quality of learning experience on research degrees including progression and completion rates 
  • the academic regulations for research degree programmes
